I just bought a brand new sandisk 32gb flash drive, which worked fine, until I tried to format it with the HP USB disk format tool because I am trying to create a bootable usb stick (if you own a gigabyte board don't bother trying to do this it will not work, as I have discovered). The tool started, then stopped saying it couldn't format, and now windows can't see the usb stick. I have tried a few other tools which also can't format it. I have tried 'optimizing' it through windows. Should I throw it away and buy yet another usb stick? Thanks
