Maze Runner: The Death Cure takes you on a zombified tour of Cape Town. There are a lot of reasons to be excited for Maze Runner: The Death Cure: it closes out the Maze Runner trilogy, it features plenty pretty people, and its opening marks the end of the teen.

Synopsis

Awakening in an elevator, remembering nothing of his past, Thomas emerges into a world of about thirty teenage boys, all without past memories, who have learned to survive under their own set of rules in a completely enclosed environment, subsisting on their own agriculture and supplies. With a new boy arriving every thirty days, the group has been in 'The Glade' for three years, trying to find a way to escape through the Maze that surrounds their living space (patrolled by cyborg monsters named 'Grievers'). They have begun to give up hope when a comatose girl arrives with a strange note, and their world begins to change with the boys dividing into two factions: those willing to risk their lives to escape and those wanting to hang onto what they've got and survive.

Hollywood is currently a big fan of making sequels and 2018 isn’t going to see that trend slow down. Not in the slightest bit. Some of the biggest franchises on the planet are going to be getting new installments over the next year, with others entering into sequel territory for the first time. No matter what the case, there are plenty of sequels to look forward to over the next 12 months.

Just like in 2017, the sequels coming out in 2018 absolutely offer something for everyone. There are plenty of horror offerings, superhero showdowns and family-friendly affairs coming out throughout the entire year that makes it so you’ll hardly have a weekend at the movies without a big sequel arriving. At one point in time, a sequel was something of a rare event, relatively speaking. That is no longer the case.

The third and final installment marks the end of the “Maze Runner” trilogy. I honestly do not remember the first two movies and I watched them in theaters on opening day.
